A mural for a four-year-old in Encinitas, CA brings his bedroom into the jungle. Now he can explore the jungle of color on his wall- the liana and greenery and all the little creatures hanging out in there- a macaw, toucan, a monkey hanging on a tree, a tiger, frogs, giant jungle ants, and some distant elephants walking past a temple silhouetted against the tropical sunset in the sky. The mural wraps onto the ceiling and spirals against the bare wall in order to create a more organic sense to the edges of the painting.
This mural was also painted with my partner, Violet McKeon.
