Shipping & Returns

How long will it take to receive my order?

Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for your order. Almost every item in our shop is made on demand. Canvas prints are sent from the printer to us. We sign and number them and send them onwards. Clothing is made on a per item basis. We appreciate your patience!

My tracking number says the package arrived but I never got it.

Sorry to hear that. Mail theft is an unfortunate occurrence (due in no small part to the break down of social safety nets and rise in poverty) but once the item has been delivered it is out of our hands. We recommend contacting your local post office.

My order still says pending even though I submitted it a week ago!

Patience, grasshopper. Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for your order. Almost every item in our shop is made on demand. Canvas prints are sent from the printer to us. We sign and number them and send them onwards. Clothing is made on a per item basis. We appreciate your patience!

What is your return policy?

We do not accept any returns. Since every item is made to order, your order is made specifically for you.

I ordered the wrong size, can I change my order?

Contact us HERE. If we can change the order we will. However, since every item is printed/manufactured on demand, if the item is already in production, we can't make any changes to your order.

What do I do if my order has been shipped?

You can track your order at USPS.com using the tracking number you receive with the confirmation of your shipment.

Help! I never received my order!

We're so sorry about that! Please contact us and we'll do our best to remedy it.

Are there import taxes/duties on international shipments?

There may be. Import taxes do exist and are the responsibility of the recipient.

What shipping carrier to do you use?

Everything is shipped via USPS. A tracking number is provided with each order. If you would prefer to use a different carrier, please contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

This mailing tube looks like it's been used before.

It probably was! There are only so many trees and only so much fossil fuel to turn them into tubes. We'd prefer to reuse tubes and other packaging materials where we can to cut down on waste as much as possible. We encourage you to do the same. Thanks for helping us to be a more conscientious business.

Print Questions

Can you sign my satin print?

Satin prints are shipped directly from the printer and cannot be signed. But, hey, maybe we'll be in the same place one day and you can bring it with you and get it signed in person.

Can you make a custom size print?

Possibly. Send an email HERE with the title of the image in question and your preferred dimensions and we'll see if it's possible.

Can you stretch the print for me before you ship it?

We offer stretching for prints up to 40" at the longest side as there is a greater risk of damage for larger pieces. However, if you would purchase a stretched print in a size for which don't offer stretching, please contact us directly HERE.

Can you sign my canvas print?

Of course! All canvas prints are signed and numbered by the artist(s).

You don't have prints available of a certain painting I like on your website, can you make me one?

Possibly. Send an email HERE and let us know which image you like.

Original Art Questions

What medium(s) do you work with?

For paintings on canvas and panel, we typically use Liquitex acrylic paints. For drawings on paper, pen & ink, graphite pencil, charcoal pencil, or even just a Pilot V-5 ball point pen are used, and on rare occasion we might even go for the water colors or oils. For outdoor murals, we mostly use water-based latex house paint. For indoor murals, it's a mix of interior house paint and acrylics. For installations, we'll use any medium available to us that will result in the space or vision we're trying to create. This has ranged from natural materials like reeds or wood and fabric or leather to concrete and stone to sheet metal and wire, lighting, pvc and conduit, or even cast-off, found objects.

Is this work done digitally?

Every painting and every mural is hand made with paint and brushes. Occasionally we do work-for-hire in the digital design realm, but everything you see in the galleries here is 100% done with human hands in the physical world.

Can you frame a painting for me before you send it?

We work with talented framers who can frame your original art. Just let us know if this is something you desire and we'll work it out.

I'd like to commission a painting. What do I do?

Send an email HERE. Share a little of what you have in mind and, if you'd like to specifically ask for Michael or Violet exclusively, please let us know. Otherwise we'll likely proceed on your commission as a team to best see your visions through.

Do you make a sketch before painting, or is it all spontaneous?

A bit of both, usually. For larger pieces, there are usually several sketches to work out composition and major conceptual ideas, but the painting always takes on a life of its own once you get going. It's a balance between good planning and allowing plenty of room for spontaneous exploration while in the midst of it. Occasionally, a piece will be entirely free-form, but there is almost always at least an idea first that may have been from an old sketch. Live painting performance is very spontaneous, but even then we usually have an idea where we're going with it. Murals are always planned and sketched beforehand, with major shapes mapped on the wall with chalk or Sharpie before we get going.
